There were apparently only two moments of surprise for the 25th of March running of Khoury's. The first came when Alex Filides was told he was first in, apparently Dermot needed some extra miles. The second was on Heather Kispert's face when she was told she would be making it into the Worcester Telegraph. "This is the happiest moment of my life" she blurted out, barely containing herself.
The one close race came after all the runners were in, as "pepperoni and pineapple" continued to inexorably gain mindshare and narrowly edged out "sausage" and "just-plain-cheese".
Some new faces tonight, including Neil Kubacher and Marie Kelly, who runs either a croissant shop, a pancake house, or a Belgian truffles shop, I can't remember which. Anyway it's apparently along the course somewhere, which could come in handy sometime.
