Nancy Given outmuscled Steve Burton to get her name listed first at the May 27 running of the Khoury's 4.13 Miler. Given was just that much more motivated when it really counted. David Brno continues to improve, making his way up to number 3. Aileen Mason was a no-nonsense number 4, just edging new old guy Bob Menzie, who came in fifth.

And just think, all this excitement took place just in the rush to sign up for the race. As for the actual race, well, Given took the women's side again, Burton took the Men's Master's, and Joao Silva of the Azores probably didn't even break a sweat to take the Men's Open.
