Khourys 4.13 Miler: August 5, 1999
Manhattan Interlude
Maude felt herself shiver as he caressed her thigh. "Could he really love me?
Could it be for real this time?" she thought to herself. The question had
vexed her for weeks. She couldn't concentrate at work, her thoughts
always straying back to him. She saw his face in every reflecting off
every skyscraper, heard his voice winnow its way thru the cacophony in the
streets, felt his touch with every breeze that landed upon her shoulder.
Carl turned slightly, pressing hard against her milky white flesh with his rippling pecs. He tilted his head into her ear and whispered "I have to leave soon, I'll make some coffee."
