Sark Comes from Waaaaay Behind to Win...

"This won't hurt a bit." The gleam in her eye did little to put my mind at ease, however, nor did the snapping of the latex that she slid over her hands. The anesthesia was starting to take effect, the periphery of the room grew more distant, and it was difficult to judge the size of the pliars she unveiled from inside her blue gown. I became vaguely aware of the pliars clamping down on the right wisdom tooth. One wrenching motion and the pliars were pulled away with a bloody mass between the heads.

"Well, that was too easy." With a seeming sense of disappointment, she forced the pliars onto the opposite tooth. A second wrenching motion, but to no avail. A third, and still nothing. "This is more like it!" she smiled, with a hint of saliva on her lips. She pressed closer to me and reset the pliars onto the tooth with one hand, the other hand pressing into my face for leverage. A feeling of enormous pressure flowed thru my jaw as she worked the tooth back and forth without success. "Now we're hot!" She lifted her bare foot, brought it down against my chest, placed both hands on the pliars, took a full breath, and pulled with everything she had. "Come on!! COME ON!!" she screamed, wrenching the tooth back and forth, back and forth. A sudden crunching and ripping noise rewarded her to screams of "YES! YES! OH GOD, YES!" as the tooth exploded outwards and darkness enveloped me. The darkness slowly turned into a red haze of distant familiarity, and I was aware of her dusky breathing in my ear. "Was it good for you too?"

Ok, back to race news. Jaime S. obviously had a good day, despite starting almost two minutes behind the rest of the pack. Technically his time was 26:03, but since he came in first place anyway...

On the women's side, Aileen Mason, otherwise known as the Bane of Pizza Thievery Everywhere, continues to dominate.
