Khoury's 4.13 Miler, 10/07/99

Be Afraid, Be Very Afraid

Now There's Two Of Us...

Two, count'em, two Montanans showing up at Khourys nowdays. Dara Plank made her Thursday night debut, hailing from Billings, Montana. Funny, she really doesn't seem like the militia type, not like that other Montana native, anyway... She promptly got herself lost, however, resulting in a search and rescue party of Greg Hammond and myself. Fortunately Dara found her way back while we were out looking. Marylee Dempsey went off course herself (and they say men are bad at directions), but found her way back in time to hold on to 2nd place.

Stephanie Schroot continues her relentless climb up the ladder, winning the women's division this week. And to think that all it took to motivate her was one little crack about the untrustworthyness of her cats.

The reigning King of Khourys, the irrepressible Ed O'Connor is busy scheming up ideas for a Halloween Khourys. Just try to imagine Karin Turer in a baseball uniform, spitting tobacco, running bow-legged up Winter Hill with a baseball rolling thru her legs...
