Mars AttacksKhourys 4.13 Miler: January 20 2000 |
A moment of silence, please.
A little longer...
I'd like to dedicate this running of Khoury's 4.13 Miler to the memory of Hedy Lamarr Mars Polar Lander, who passed away earlier this week which was officially given up for dead this week. Man, she it was something, a Hollywood sex symbol, technological marvel that just so happened to have some microprobes too. What's this world coming to, anyway? First Gilda Radner leaves us Mars Observer blows up upon orbital insersion, then Madalein Kahn Mars Climate Orbiter gets fried by a metric conversion error, now dear sweet Hedy Mars Polar Lander can't phone home. You'll be sorely missed.
I peeled dead skin off the bottom of my feet today.
