It was a wild and crazy night at Khoury's. First, Alex Filides smashes his PR, breaking 24 minutes for the first time. Shortly after, Jim Sullivan finishes in a zippy 25:33, only 4 days after running a marathon. Why? Because he's crazy. Look out, Dave Dunham!
Newbies Kirsten, Annabelle, and Bernie arrived back at the bar safely, having been guided through the mean streets of Somerville by hardened Khoury's veterans Nicole and Janet. Kevin McWatters and Dan LeClair showed up for their usual monthly Khoury's run. Hey, one week out of four isn't bad.
More craziness followed the run, with bacon pizza from Pini's. Bacon pizza?? Oohhh, it's so good you might find a certain former vegetarian scarfing up as many slices as she can get her paws on. Conversation with the bartenders revealed that this bacon pizza phenomenon is by no means a new thing. That said, who knows when it will show up again at Khoury's??
