January Meeting: January 15, 2001, 7:00 pm at the Mount Vernon Restaurant, 14 Broadway, Somerville. Dave McGillivray, race director for the Boston Marathon et al., will be speaking. We have invited CSU and Irish American Track Club to join us. Please bring a small donation; it will be donated to a charity of Daves choice, in lieu of a speaking fee.
Volunteering was discussed. The club gets its Boston Marathon numbers through volunteering at such events as the Jimmy Fund Walk and X-country championships (Nov. 25th). Besides the fact that volunteering is a good cause and gives back to the running community, we need to do better as a club getting volunteers out to these events.

Gobble Gobble Gobble aka Tri-Gob, (gobble)3: Just do it. There is an article about the race in MetroSports! The Aquarium is being generous, providing a jazz band, food, etc. Please push the race, and the team divisions...so far only 3 teams have signed up, although it does look like a rather heated race.
Mill Cities Relay: Get your teams together! Info is on the SRR web-site. Also the club needs volunteers at the corner of Riverside Dr. Team checks need to be in by Nov. 30!!
Annual Party: It looks like Friday, January 19th, at the Medford VFW (confirmation of the date to come). Six dollars for singles, $10 dollars for real couples.

An Ras Mor: Ed has graciously agreed to take on this wonderful race, after a little begging by members of the club. He needs volunteers!!! Will hit key advertising: The Irish Immigrant and NE Runner.
Summer Steamer: Dan Solomon and Robin Shor agreed to co-direct the race. After a little bullying, Jim Sweeney has decided to join us. Please see Steve Pepe if you would like to volunteer to help.
Uniforms: Nancy Given had a few designs; they went over well. Next step is to talk to Colin Peddie and see what he will do for us.
Long runs: We will be having group long runs out of Carberrys in Davis Square, Somerville, on Sundays at 10:30. Various distances and speeds welcomed.
