Somerville Road Runners Meeting; March 12, 2001

Elections: The main event was the election of our new president, Dan Solomon. VP, Membership, Treasurer and Secretary all were remained in their offices: Jim Sullivan (the real one), John Gorvin, Larry Horlick, and Robin Shor.

Attendance: Many new faces were in attendance. They included Lynne Byall Benson, John Benson, Brian Earley, Ray Charbonneau, and Jamie Sarkasian.

Competition Committee: Steve Burton agreed to be the committee chairperson; he will decide what NATFA races the club will enter, and will coordinate with others to get teams together.

Khoury's timing: Dave Brno and Karin Turer will be putting together a calendar for timers. They will also work out a protocol on how to get the results posted online, and how to fax results to the papers.

Public Relations: A suggestion was made to use the local Somerville papers for PR. The possibility of using club business cards was also brought up.

Charity: We are officially non-profit. We are currently involved in setting up a "trackpack" scholarship fund for a male and female student at the Somerville high school.

Aurelio Remembrance race: We moved the date back one week to July 26th. The original date conflicted with the Sugar Bowl race in Dorchester.

June Race of the Month: Bunker Hill, June 17th... except it is actually on the 10th - we need to revisit this.
