1) Summer Steamer Donations We will make a $2000 donation to Little Flower School and $500 to the Auxillary Police. Tom will follow up with the race directors to schedule quickly.
2) Gobble, Gobble, Gobble Plans are progressing well. We have a major sponsor in Guinness, timing company is confirmed, flyers are going out. Amy Ahearn is volunteer coordinator. Please contact Amy if you interested.
3) An Ras Mor Paul or Ed will provide update next meeting.
4) 24 Hour Race (Around the Lake) Directors are Gretchen Wilson and Kate & Tim Maul! Congratulations to these 3 race directors. They will contact Wakefield schools and town officials to see if they can also have Childrens Hospital as a beneficiary of the race proceeds. There will be a concerted effort to get more team participation next year.
5) CoolRunning Alison will work with them to create a 4 race advertising program.
6) Khoury's Thursday Night Run Safety Issues Safety concerns were discussed. It was agreed to have Steve Pepe pursue the option of selling/offering reflective vests before the run, for all of us to encourage reflective clothing and respect for road crossings, continue the pre-run safety announcement, and review the waiver.
7) Khoury's Timer Volunteers Dave Brno is coordinating.
8) Newsletter Race Calendar Alison volunteered to provide this list to the newsletter editors, since Dave Brno is retiring this responsibility after many years of dedicated service.
9) Tufts 10K Volunteers Tom Hagerty will email club to ask for volunteers for this Monday 10/13 the club receives a stipend per volunteer. (too late for 2003)
10) Peter's Prediction Run Is scheduled for 10/23. Tom will follow up with Steve Pepe about pizza. Peter may be celebrating a birthday in Springfield, so we need a back up host.
