SRR MONTHLY MEETING
Monday, April 5, 2004, 7 pm
At The Burren, Somerville, MA

1) Updates:
— An Ras Mor: Paul Clarke will update at May meeting.
— Summer Steamer (7/11): People need flyers to distribute.
— 24 Hour (8/13-14): Ads have been placed, working with sponsors and finalizing flyers. Race Directors want to increase the number of relay teams participating this year, working with running clubs, charity teams, local business etc.

2) Special K Race Director(s) — AB will send out email asking for volunteers.

3) Khoury's Pasta Run — AB will ask Robin and Steve P to finalize details with Khoury's and volunteers.

4) Pepe Bus — Probably a good idea for races over 2 hours away. Steve will get interest level and costs — potentially for Stowe in July?

5) Outdoor Track Update — Outdoor track starts 4/6 at Tufts. When construction starts this summer, Steve will require us all to do hill training until he determines which of 3 potential tracks will be available.

6) Races of the Month
— May: 5/9 M.O.M's 5K in Davis Square
— June: 6/27 POW/MIA 10K South Boston
— July: 7/18 Stowe 8M Stowe, VT
— Aug: 8/3 Yankee Homecoming 10M or 5K Newburyport, MA

7) Newsletter — Next Newsletter deadline is May 10 for late May publications.

8) Miscellaneous — It was suggested we should pursue guest speakers for several future meetings. Our speaker this meeting was Bill Bryant on waterstops.
