SRR MONTHLY MEETING

1) CLUB RACE UPDATES:
Summer Steamer — The principal from the Little Flower school came and accepted the check from the steamer. The Steamer race directors discussed with her the possibility of having the school get further involved in the race and adding a kids race.
Gobble Gobble Gobble — The Gobble 2004 was a great success! Profits were up. It was decided at the meeting that the donations would remain the same this year $5,000* goes to Project Soup and $5,000* to the Somerville Trac Pac and $1,000 to the Auxillary Police. Entrants were significantly up from last year and the directors received many nice accolades from happy runners! Besides the Volvo Classic and the Gobble, all other Turkey races were down in numbers this year.
*Post-club meeting, it was decided that the Gobble would donate an additional $250.00 to each beneficiary.
Winter Challenge — (December 11th) Our clubs' free race. Race Director is Dan Solomon, everything is taken care of.
An Ras Mor — Date is March 13th.

2) New England Runner Ad bundling We need to send in all of the dates for our races for the calender to get the best discount.

3) RRCA Insurance We need to get all of the club races in for 2005 by end of December for our club insurance policy.

4) Special Ks Update No further updates.

5) Running Log Idea suggested by Tyrone Tse (something that Niketown offers its runners for its Wednesday night fun run.) Kathy Hynes will follow up on.

6) Trophy Case We are interested in talking to Mickey Khoury about getting a trophy case for Khoury's. Jim Sweeney will follow up on.

7) SRR Banner Alison Berglund is ordering a 5' x 3' club logo banner.

8) Advertising in Newsletter Some discussion — will be brought up at next board meeting. (Side note: Henry Richards who currently does the layout/design of the newsletter MIGHT be relocating in a few months)

9) Club Grand Prix series: Adena Scutzberg is putting together a series, which will be a combination of races and volunteering. Details to be announced soon.

10) 2005 Marathon Numbers Deadline for applications is December 15th. Runners awarded these numbers will be announced soon after. (Please note that anyone receiving a club number must still pay BAA Marathon entry fee of $125.00)

11) Holiday Party January 21st at the VFW Dilboy in Davis Square. Info is posted on the web. Tom and Heather Haggerty are coordinating this event.

12) January 2005 Board Meeting 2005 budget to be discussed.
