SRR MONTHLY MEETING

1. Adena turned the reigns over to Jonathan Davies for the Grand Prix Series 2007
2. Up-dated rules for GPS: there were some small changes. the new rules are posted on yahoo groups.
3. Races for 2007 - there was some discussion of the 4 races that the club puts on every year and about the need for new volunteers.
4. USATF - if runners run 5 out of 7 of the next USATF races- club will pay their dues.
5. Holiday Party- Heather and Tom are doing a spectacular job putting together the party - desparately need volunteers. Mike has offered to coordinate the volunteers.
6. BAA numbers: the board and coach O'Leary voted on the recipients of the 10 baa numbers, based on their essays, and their volunteer work for the club. Caroline is working on the hotel room again. Adena is working on the marathon bus - she has invited the mystic valley runners to join srr. everyone must have a number to get on this bus.
7. Steve V - the boston marathon will shut off at 22,500. if you are planning on running, sign up sooner than later. march 1 entries shut down. finsih line closing is 6 hours after the start.
8. Winter Challenge - had record turnout, and a great time was had by all.
9. Khoury's BDay - Feb 8th...
10. Gobble update: purchased volunteer vests, which can be used at all races.. ted fitzpatrick donated numbers from reebok. 8-10,ooo to the homeless coalition. bill gave wrap up;
11. ARM 07- gave $1,000 to the fallen firefighters- last year; march 25 is the date this year; Harpoon is the sponsor; need volunteers!
12. Steamer - July 15th
13. 24 hour got permission for their date from Wakefield.
