Welcome to the website of the Somerville Road Runners, Somerville Massachusetts' oldest running club. Bordering Boston and Cambridge, we're a motley crew that works hard, but doesn't let that get in the way of having a good time. SRR is a charitable, non-profit organization that sponsors many events a year including weekly runs, track workouts, annual races and even competitive but delicious cook-offs! Our club welcomes new members of all abilities. Read on to find out what we've been up to lately.

No, our meetings don't really look like this (the board members are actually far more attractive).

Please note that the building is undergoing construction at the moment so there's a good chance that you will need to enter through a a different door than normal. Please try to get your warmup done outside, before entering the building.

All of you SRR track veterans, if at all possible, please sign up and pay for track before you show up. I would very much appreciate this. It will make maintaining the door list a lot easier if I can get it from Yili rather than try to edit a copy myself all winter long. And if you can try to sign up before Tuesday (i.e. not at 6:00 PM Tuesday), it would make my life a lot easier. I send the list to the guards on Tuesday afternoon so if you sign up a hour before practice I'm not going to see it. Here is a link for the signup, both for track and to renew your SRR membership:

SRR Track and/or membership signup

Please take care in selecting the track option you want. If you sign up for just indoor track and the later decide you want outdoor too, you'll have to go back and pay the outdoor fee separately. There's no going back and opting for the combined option later. Note again, that current Tufts students (and anyone else who is already allowed in the building) do not have to pay the indoor track fee. You can just show up as long as you're an SRR member.
