Here it is ... SPRING has come but where is it???? As I type this at 9:00PM Tuesday night,
the snow is falling!!!! Lent is already half over and before you know it, Easter will be here!!!!
SOOOOOOO let me wish all you Boston Marathoners a successful run, albeit you didn't have much
of a chance to get in many runs in practice outdoors and I guess many of you resorted to the
Y's or gyms and used treadmills????
My sincere good wishes for a safe and successful Marathon — for the 15th year I'll be at
Exeter and Boylston St. doing security until 6:30PM.

It's been a long, cold & windy not to mention icy conditions but, it's NEW ENGLAND
& the white snow under the trees along the highways was really very beautiful....

January was a difficult month to run — bitter cold — very windy — ice never melted
even when the sun was out. Temperature always near zero in mornings and never did get to warm up
above 32º..... so it goes.
