I wanted to play a sport and enjoyed running.<br> Did you run competitively in high school? Yes.<br> Did you run competitively in college? No. <br> When / why did you join SRR? I wanted to start racing more competitively and meet other runners in the area.<br> Total number races: ??<br> Favorite race (and why): Run Around the Block, because it's on Block Island, one of my favorite places, and it's a 15K, which is a fun distance  just long enough but without too much pressure to train.<br> Favorite race distance: 15K or half-marathon<br> Favorite running shoe: Mizuno WaveRunner<br> Average miles per week: 25-30<br> Most MPW Ever: ?<br> Best running memory: I feel like I should be thinking of some of the great races  making states senior year of high school, or taking 40 minutes off my marathon time  but there's one that comes to mind immediately that's not as notable. It was a supposed to be a casual, early morning, Sunday run around Baxter State Park in Maine to loosen up the day after leading a group of teenagers up Mt. Katahdin, but a friend and I ended up running for an hour and a half, exploring the trails, discovering waterfalls, and, by the end, eating berries.<br> Worst running memory: My first Saturday morning race in high school  I had my regular breakfast, a bowl of cereal and a glass of orange juice, and got terrible stomach cramps.
