Occupation: Was a high school chemistry teacher for 5 years. Now I'm a "professional graduate school applicant"

Children status: I used to have 100s of kids before I stopped teaching. Now I have none.

How long have you been running? Ran in high school... stopped for 7 years... been running again for three years.
What made you decide to begin running? I wanted to get back in shape!
Did you run competitively in high school? Yes.
Did you run competitively in college? No.
When / why did you join SRR? It seems like a fun group of people... not too competitive.
Total number races: I lost count a long time ago. It must be in the 100s by now.
Favorite race (and why): The Bobby Bell Road Race. It has the best food afterwards. In fact, I like any race followed by tons of free food.
Favorite race distance: The half marathon.
Favorite runner: The friends that I run with.
Favorite running shoe: The New Balance 753. Unfortunately, they stopped making it recently!
Average miles per week: 80 when I'm seriously training; 50 when I'm not.
Most MPW Ever: 95... just short of triple digits.
Best running memory: Breaking three hours at the 2005 Sugarloaf Marathon.
Worst running memory: The 2004 Boston Marathon. That was a hot, hard race... Boston 2005 was a picnic compared to that one.
