How long have you been running? Since High School.
What made you decide to begin running? Initially it was to increase speed for Football/basketball, but I started again in college as a way to give to charity and get back into shape at the same time.
Did you run competitively in high school? Yes
Did you run competitively in college? Nope
When / why did you join SRR? June 03; I just moved to Boston in April and was looking for a group like I had in Cincy that helped me train for a marathon.
Total number races: lots
Favorite race (and why): "Run like Hell." It's a Halloween race with a great party afterwards. You run through a cemetery in costumes just after twilight and they have spooky music playing along the whole course.
Favorite race distance: 15K
Favorite runner: All those people that run faster and longer than they thought they could.
Favorite running shoe: Adidas Supernova
Average miles per week: 20 - 30
Most MPW Ever: 55
Best running memory: The first time I ran the Heart Mini-marathon (15K) in Cincy. It was my first race longer than 5K, and the first time I found long distance running to be like meditation and clearing my mind.
Worst running memory: Running a 14 mile trail race in Dayton. It was the first time I had run that far, on a course that was very hilly, and it rained all night the night before and during the race. By mile 5 it was almost impossible to run on any incline and we were reduced to crawling. A 2 mile stretch was later referred to as the 'mud flat' and was literally ankle-deep and slippery. After 2:15 on the course, I finished 7th of about 30 that actually finished (I think closer to 200 started, but you could opt out at 7 miles).

Running PR's (when and where):
         Khourys: 27:00
5K: 18:50 Salt Lake City ASM race, 5/01

15K: 64:03 Cincy Heart Mini marathon
         25K: 1:48:48 Cape Ann, 9/03
         Marathon: 3:17:15 Columbus, OH

Favorite actor: Edward Norton
Favorite actress: Charlize Theron
Favorite TV show: Seinfeld
Favorite movie: Empire Strikes Back, Strange Brew, Casablanca, Godfather II, Saving Private Ryan
Favorite musician: Ella Fitzgerald, Harry Conick Jr.

Favorite ice cream: Black Raspberry chocolate chip from Graeters
Favorite cocktail: Ruby Porterhouse Manhattan or Chocolate Martini
Favorite restaurant: Montgomery Inn (Cincinnati-unbelievable BBQ ribs, steaks, and seafood)
For the men: Ginger or Mary Anne? Mary Anne

Fill in the blank: I like it when The air is clear and cool, it's early in the morning, and I know I have the whole day to play outside. I hate it when I'm stuck in traffic, waiting in line, or around people that are smoking while I'm trying to eat.

Favorite quote: "Without Struggle, There is No Progress." —Fredrick Douglas

Philosophy: What goes up, must come down. Whatever happens, it's not always going to be that good or that bad, you just have to take it a day at a time.
